The best cancer information for everyone

Macmillan Cancer Support has merged with Cancerbackup. We will be providing the same high quality, expertly developed information about cancer, and now we can make it available to everyone who needs it. Our vision is for all people affected by cancer to have the information they want, when they want it.

Both Macmillan and Cancerbackup are dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer. Macmillan develops and provides a wide range of medical, practical, emotional and financial services, including the distribution of information. Cancerbackup is the specialist cancer information charity, recognised as the UK's leading source of high-quality information on every cancer.

The merger will enable Cancerbackup's existing services to be expanded and enhanced as they join with Macmillan's full range of services.  Improved information services include:

 

Telephone help lines

You can call our free phone help-line, CancerLine, and we will answer any questions you may have about living with cancer.

In addition our cancer information nurse specialists can provide you with up-to-date information on diagnosis, symptoms, treatments, clinical trials and more.

If you have money worries of financial concerns you can speak to one of our trained advisors.

Online cancer  information

Online we can now offer even more information about cancer types, treatments, diagnosis and what to expect. We have information content on both the Macmillan Cancer Support website and the Cancerbackup website.

Publications

We will soon be able to make all of our publications available free of charge to health and social care professionals as well as to patients and their families.  Currently publications can be ordered on both the Cancerbackup website and on be.macmillan.

Information centres.

Our  local centres provide face to face information and support for anybody affected by cancer, including cancer patients, their families and friends.
