We are pleased to announce that eleven projects are now completed or underway:
1. Dr Mike Gocman (Enfield PCT) worked with his fellow PCCLs in the North London Cancer Network to facilitate multi PCCL working through the establishment of a Primary Care Cancer Board.

2. Dr Duncan Leith (Northumberland Care Trust) secured funding to support two educational meetings in the NE region to support PC2 (Primary Care Palliative Care) to improve the care and outcome for patients and their carers with palliative care needs through the sharing of knowledge, and the promotion of best practice.

3. Dr Ian Watson (Oldham PCT) organised a series of six educational events open to PCCLs and other members of the network's primary care group. The events were focused on topics identified as learning needs by the PCCLs.

4. Dr Richard Stackhouse (Devon PCT) working with network colleagues to develop a local on-line Directory of Cancer Services.

5. Dr Steve Fraser (Sefton PCT) developed a collaborative project between Sefton Library Service and South Sefton PCT to provide cancer information and guidance to anyone affected by cancer in a relaxed friendly setting.

6. Dr Linda Mahon-Daly (North East Essex PCT) is working with PCT and Macmillan colleagues on the development of a healthy lifestyle and cancer awareness road show programme to be delivered to young people in secondary schools. The event demonstrated that it is possible to significantly increase knowledge and awareness using this format.

7. Dr Rosie Loftus (Medway PCT) received funding to complete analysis of their pilot evaluation of the SELVA scoring system - a patient consultative questionnaire/bespoke software programme, scoring system for colorectal cancer.
8. Dr David Millar (Department of General Practice & Primary Care, University of Aberdeen) is editing and adapting the current 'Cancer in Primary Care - a Guide to Good Practice' to include relevant information on Scottish structures and processes and include examples of local good practice to increase the adoption of the guidelines by Scottish primary care.

9. Dr Alison Wint (Bristol PCT) received funding to work with the BMJ in establishing an interactive Primary Care Cancer Educational Website for General Practitioners and other Primary Care professionals.

10. Dr David Linden (NHS Ayrshire & Arran) worked with colleagues in the establishment of a pan Scotland forum for primary care professionals to share good practice; to address inequity in service provision in cancer care in primary care; and to respond to issues best addressed at a national level.

11. Dr Raj Muralidhar (Heart of Birmingham Teaching PCT) is working with Macmillan colleagues and service users to develop a practical model with associated resources to help PCCLs and Partnership groups work together to improve local services.
