Yes, you will receive a thank you letter from us within a few weeks of receiving your donation.
What is Gift Aid?
Macmillan is able to reclaim tax on donations made by guests at any Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning, providing you are a UK taxpayer who has paid an amount of income or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that Macmillan Cancer Support reclaims on my donations in the tax year.
It may sound complicated but in simple terms Macmillan can now claim back 25p of every £1 of your donation simply by getting you to fill in all the boxes on the gift aid sheet in your World's Biggest Coffee Morning pack!

Do I have to hold my coffee morning on Friday 26 September?
No, Friday 26 September is the official date of the World's Biggest Coffee Morning, but you can always choose a date that is more convenient for you and your guests.
I cannot get to a Natwest, Royal Bank of Scotland or Ulster Bank. Why do I have to bank my money here?
It's important that other banks are not used to bank money raised from your coffee morning as often these banks charge a processing fee. Using another bank also means that we won't be able to trace your payment back to you, which means we cannot thank you for your donation.
